Presidential Welcome

The Saint Joseph’s Chapter of the American Marketing Association (SJU AMA) is a top collegiate chapter within the American Marketing Association that provides opportunities for our members to grow and develop as budding professionals. The SJU AMA is dedicated to providing value for our members, the greater student body, and the community via several events and resources provided by the Executive Board and the Marketing Department.

Important to emphasize is that our award-winning chapter is available to all majors, regardless of desired industry placement following your time here on Hawk Hill or at University City. We serve as a liaison for learning and applying knowledge from the classroom into the real world through specific initiatives such as Hawk Hill Communications, sponsorship sales, AMA Annual Case Competition, Marketing Week, and regional conferences. In between all of this is the opportunity to get involved through committees and the opportunity to hear from industry professionals directly. It is our hope that, through efforts such as the aforementioned, our members will enter their professional careers with the knowledge, resources, confidence, and ethical considerations that translate to a prosperous future.

As president of this organization, I have the privilege of working with an excellent group of students to provide all of these opportunities and to work with an amazing team of faculty who truly care for their students’ outcomes. By working together for the Hawk Hill, University City, and greater Philadelphia communities, I have been able to witness so many achievements and significant impacts made by SJU AMA Hawks. I cannot wait to serve for another year as I finish my time at SJU and encourage you to join the efforts! When I first inquired about the AMA as a freshman, I never could have imagined what the team and I would accomplish. Take a look around our newly updated website and feel free to reach out with any questions! It is never a bad time to join the SJU AMA!

Sincerely,

Ryan Koos ‘23

President, SJU AMA
