The Tripod

Phi Sigma Pi is founded on the ideals of scholarship, leadership, and fellowship. Scholarship is defined as the knowledge resulting from study and research in a field, or the methods, discipline, and attainments of a scholar or scholars; leadership is defined as the capacity or the ability to lead; and fellowship is defined as a close association of friends, friendship, or comradeship. These ideals form the Tripod, through which Phi Sigma Pi seeks to fulfill its purpose:

  • Acquisition and dissemination of information and knowledge through scholarship;
  • Application of professional skills and the fostering of leadership qualities by promoting and advancing the welfare of humanity;
  • Fostering of non-discriminatory, fraternal fellowship within our ranks.

In achieving these goals, Phi Sigma Pi brothers become more balanced individuals, ready to move into society with a unique knowledge and awareness of themselves and the society around them. Through the tripod, Phi Sigma Pi brothers become stronger people who are able to work towards a stronger community.
