History of SJU Theatre Company
SJU Theatre Company was formerly known as Cap & Bells Dramatic Arts Society which was founded in 1922 at Saint Joseph’s University. The organization began by producing plays and gradually expanded to a repertoire of both musicals and plays. Currently, SJU Theatre Company produces three productions each academic year and supports over thirty students annually with a scholarship awards (The Frank Olley Memorial Scholarship). The scholarship honors the memory of Dr. Olley who served as Artistic Director from 1950-1999 and who founded the scholarship program.
