In partnership with the TechGirlz charitable foundation, the SJU Computer Science Club will be sending select student volunteers to host an educational technology workshop for middle school girls in early February 2020.
The workshop materials and curriculum will be provided by TechGirlz and the event will be held Level13 eSports Gaming Center in West Chester. Transportation will be provided by SJU volunteers, and dinner will be provided for volunteers free of charge.
In accordance with the TechGirlz policy for working with minors, all student volunteers must complete a background check prior to the event. The instructions for obtaining the background clearances are available here. Please read all instructions carefully and pay attention to the specific instructions for the state that you reside in. It is recommended that you initiate the clearance process as early as possible to ensure the clearances are submitted to TechGirlz in a timely fashion.
