Investing Explained: The Beginner’s Complete Guide presented by Jacob’s Investing Center is a video explainer course teaching the fundamentals of investing that spans three unique parts: Part I: “The Essentials”, Part II: “Creating Your Account”, and Part III: “Advanced Topics”. With a 2 minute average runtime per video, this course can be conveniently viewed in pieces whenever you may have availability throughout your day to prepare for your SJU Investing Club stock pitches.

For true beginners, Part I begins by assuming no prior knowledge of investing or finance and begins by answering the question “what is a stock?”, progressively introducing new topics that build upon each other, and culminating in an actionable instruction on how to begin selecting stocks and investing on your own. Part II gives a step by step guide on setting up a Charles Schwab brokerage account, funding it, and placing an order.  For advanced investors, Part III discusses topics such as stock options, foreign exchange, crypto currency, and more, with guidance on how to assemble a diversified portfolio to take advantage of the many different asset classes and products available to the modern investor.  All content is able to be watched and listened to, or read via a text option.
