Interview Process

After completing the application form, you will be contacted by our advisor, Kelsey Alderman to schedule an interview. The interview’s main purpose it to get to know your personality and interests. The children who apply to be part of the Big Brothers Big Sisters Program are also interviewed with similar questions. Over the next few months, our team will cross the interviews of potential Bigs and Littles to create a perfect, long-lasting match! You will be asked to complete background check forms and provide references to ensure the children’s safety. Because the matching process partakes over an extended period of time, we encourage those interested to apply right away if interested to receive a Little sooner, and to maximize the time you have with your potential Little throughout your time at SJU.
