The international business major at Saint Joseph’s University prepares you for a successful career with the tools, theories and practical knowledge to work in an international business environment.
WHAT IS INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS?
The international business major at Saint Joseph’s University offers courses in international marketing, finance and management, as well as a capstone course in global strategic planning. You will learn the differences between the United States business environment and the business environment of foreign countries. Interdisciplinary in nature, the program allows you to enroll in a variety of courses exploring the international dimensions of business, as well as other courses in the College of Arts and Sciences.

This program is available as a major and a minor. Many students often decide to double major or add minors to their studies. WHAT CAN YOU DO WITH A DEGREE IN INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS?
Students who graduate with a degree in international business have gone on to have roles in sales, marketing, policy, international banking, human resources, project management and more. You will enhance your knowledge about other countries and cultures and will be encouraged to study abroad or participate in a study tour to gain direct exposure to an international experience.
You will also be encouraged to join Saint Joseph’s University’s International Business Society which offers opportunities to network with international business leaders and attend events related to the industry.
4+1 B.S./M.S. PROGRAM OPTIONS
Saint Joseph’s University offers an accelerated bachelor’s/master’s program that allows current undergraduate students to start earning their MBA or Organization Development and Leadership M.S. during their senior year. This model enables you to complete your undergraduate and graduate work in just five years, instead of the traditional six or seven. Combining your bachelor’s with a master’s degree can help you save time and money.
International business majors interested in this unique option must apply to the graduate program in their junior year and be provisionally accepted before they complete their bachelor’s degree.
