What is Professional Development Day?

On Saturday, February 26, 2022 Women’s Leadership Initiative will host our Eighth Annual Women’s Professional Development Day Conference (PDD). PDD will take place in virtually from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.

This daylong event takes place on campus one Saturday in February.  Throughout the day, students attend presentations & interactive sessions on various topics related to professional development.  After these sessions, students have the opportunity to connect and network with members, faculty, staff, administrators, alumni and corporate sponsors.

For our students, participation in Professional Development Day is competitive, with about 80 students applying for 50 spaces.  For our Reception, we strive for 30 to 50 guests to provide one-on-one opportunities for networking.  Student participants represent a variety of majors, cohorts & experiences, and we strive to provide varied networking opportunities, as well.
