Protégé Profile: Daniella Campos
Meet Daniella Campos, our protégé for Campus Relations. Daniella is a sophomore international relations and public policy major from Queens, NY. She is heavily involved on campus serving as the secretary of the Latinx Student Association while being a member of LEAD, the Black Student Union and the Asian Student Association in addition to her role in WLI.
Daniella’s interest in diversity and inclusion is seen in the numerous roles she plays on campus. She finds the best way to use her voice on campus is through the Center for Inclusion and Diversity and the various events it holds. Many of these events have been the most memorable moments of her time at SJU thus far. In particular she holds the WLI film screening of Dolores close to her heart. This film highlighted the accomplishments of the legendary Dolores Huerta and her efforts in the United Farm Workers, her pushes for intersectionality and the power of using one’s voice. Dolores inspires Daniella and many others to become powerful female leaders.
In the future Daniella plans to attend law school in the hopes of working in diplomacy, honing in on her passions for diversity and inclusivity.
