Protégé Profile: Darynn Minus-Vincent

Meet Darynn Minus-Vincent! Darynn serves as a protégé on WLI’s Executive Board. Originally from Lumberton, New Jersey, she is a sophomore studying Business Intelligence and Analytics.

Outside of WLI, Darynn is an active member of Alpha Kappa Psi, one of SJU’s co-ed business fraternities. She is also a sprinter on the Women’s Track and Field team. Furthermore, Darynn has been involved within the athletic department through her involvement on the SJU Athletics Steering Committee and the DEI Working Group

She is personally passionate about working against all societal inequalities but specifically, ones related to gender and race, “because they affect so many people including myself,” says Darynn. Most recently, she has been really interested in analyzing inequities within healthcare as well as the stark pay gaps associated with race and/or gender.

Darynn heard about WLI from Dr. Scola in her “Women and Politics” political science class. She feels people should know that, “WLI is a great community of like minded women who share the same interest in developing ourselves both as professionals and as activists.” Her favorite WLI event so far has been our November 2020 Monthly Meeting: A Look into the Impact of our Female Mentors as it demonstrated so many women who were successful both in their personal lives and in their varying career fields.

Post graduation, Darynn hopes to work in consulting and eventually receive a Master’s of Business Administration, all while working to solve societal problems and inequalities!
