Protégé Profile: Kylie Williams

Meet Kylie Williams, WLI’s  to the Director of Communications! Kylie is a sophomore International Relations major from Seattle, Washington. As a protégé, Kylie currently works with Director of Communications Liz Sweeney. Beyond WLI, Kylie is actively involved on campus, serving as an RA and a Hawk Host.

Kylie originally heard of WLI from one of her professors, who happened to be one of WLI’s faculty moderators. Kylie said, “I heard about WLI when I had a class with Dr. Scola. She initially got me involved, but once I met the Communications Team and the rest of the E-Board, I was so excited to join!”

Some of the social justice issues Kylie is most passionate about are those that relate directly to equality. For Kylie, she actively wants to work against all forms of inequality.

Her passion for social justice has also translated to her work with WLI, saying that “WLI is a diverse organization in design and purpose and it is a great place for students to grow.”

Beyond the social justice aspects, Kylie said she enjoys the professional development side of WLI, as well as the inclusive atmosphere of the organization in general.

After graduation. Kylie plans to attend law school, focusing on either international law or criminal law. Her goal is to work for the government in some way, like for the FBI, the United Nations, or another organization.
