Protégé Profile: Olivia Clark

Olivia Clark, Junior studying International Relations with minors in Public Policy and Spanish, currently serves as protégé to our Vice President, Raeghan Smith. From Reading, PA, Olivia is also actively involved in other organizations on campus outside of WLI serving as a tutor for the Writing Center and as Treasurer for HawkHUB

She is personally passionate about social justice issues regarding systemic inequality and discrimination. She is equally passionate about advocating for female empowerment and food/basic need insecurity.

Olivia speaks of her own personal experience in encouraging others to join WLI stating that the organization has, “introduced me to incredibly talented, diverse women who have all taught me how to lead and be a strong woman. It is such an amazing support system, encouraging every one of our members to develop skills and embody feminism.”

One of her most impactful WLI memories was the recent November Monthly Meeting: “A Look Into the Impact of Our Female Mentors.” Olivia states that the meeting came at a “perfect time” as she received so much valuable guidance and feedback from the mentors to apply to her own professional development.

Post undergraduate, Olivia will continue her education to receive her Masters in Public Policy at Saint Joseph’s University. Upon completion of her Master’s, she aims to make an impact abroad pursuing a career in social justice and/or public policy.
